A Note About Debates and Claims

Because many of our topics invite rigorous debate, we strive to allow all sides to be heard. We ask that debaters remain respectful and express opinions as opinion. When stating something as fact, please back up that statement with evidence (which can include links, though this can delay your comment's publication because it may be placed in the moderation queue).

We are unable to fact check comments, so we encourage readers to do their own research as well, and consider the sources of the evidence provided. As we all know, just because someone says something online doesn't mean it's true.
