Writers Guidelines

James Hubbard's My Family Doctor is written by currently licensed, mainstream health-care professionals. If you fit into that category and would like to apply to write for us on a freelance basis, we'd love to hear from you!

whether you currently practice and/or are licensed.
whether you're board-certified (and in what).
a link to a Web site with your bio (the hospital at which you work would be fine).
if available: around three writing samples meant for laypeople. (Even poems and short stories work.) If you have no samples, that's OK.

JHMFD's style is informal, conversational and as jargon-free as we can get. Humor is good, though not required. We encourage you to read a few of our articles to get a feel for what we do.
