Feeling extremely hot all of the t ime 5 Months, 1 Week ago
Does anyone else feel extremely hot all of the time, like you could spontaneously combust? I have neurocardiogenic syncope as well as atrial fibrillation, have had thyroid tests and many neuro checks with no dx. While everyone around me feels fine, I feel like I could explode, and they are not hot flashes. I am over menopause. Please discuss and help!

As far as medications go, the Niaspan could cause a flushing or tingling, but that does not sound like what you are talking about. I assume you have told your physician about how much this is bothering you and had a workup.

Certainly being overweight, if you are, can make you feel warmer that other people. In order to lose weight you have to decide that is top priority. Weight Watchers is a very good organization. They have group support and teach a balanced diet approach.

It is difficult to keep weight off without adding exercise to the mix, if you doctor OK’s it. Start off slow but get a regular routine and build on it. Walking is good, but so is swimming, or water aerobics.

If you have been evaluated by a cardiologist and an endocrinologist, they have probably eliminated all the possible causes that could endanger your health. This does not mean that the problem is not real, only that it is not dangerous. My best recommendation would be to ask your primary care doctor to try and find a medication that helps the symptoms--a change in beta blocker sometimes works, also some of the anti-anxiety medicines are effective. My sympathy on all the discomfort--keep trying and there's a good chance that something will work.

You could try a GOOD Omega3 (like WIN Omeg3 - 88% purified) and/or CoQ10 - and a cell-specific nutrition like WIN's Tranquility. Both available through www.feeling-healthy.net . I realise this could be considered as reply spam but some people had good results using these supplements so I do not want to not tell you. Additional, also Satiety is known for a better nerve/mood function but DON'T USE it if you already are using Prozac or so.
