Stuffing: Healthier Cranberry Fruit Dressing

cranberries-wisconsin-state-growersDried fruit adds a kick to this healthy turkey dressing or stuffing. This is an easy holiday recipe with quick preparation. You can even make it ahead of time and freeze for Thanksgiving, Christmas or any time of year!
  • 3 cups herb-seasoned stuffing mix
  • 2 cups mixed dried fruit, chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 2/3 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 cup whole cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. ground sage
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 1/2 cups turkey broth or reduced sodium chicken bouillon
  • nonstick vegetable spray

newsletter-graphic-free2In a medium-sized bowl, combine stuffing mix, dried fruit, celery, onion, cranberry sauce, sage, thyme and turkey broth. Coat a 2-quart, oven-proof dish with nonstick vegetable spray. Spoon dressing in dish and bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
